My Website is Converting. Now What? If you follow my blog at King Digital Marketing Agency, you’ll know that I am a relentless beast when it comes to conversion optimization strategies. A successful business has so many bases to cover from the first click to the final sale. When you work hard to get that customer to call you or to answer their phone, do you have a strong phone script in place? If not, here is a brief outline of the most important aspects of a strong phone script:
Call Control
Always make sure you are controlling the call. This gives the customer confidence in you and allows you the opportunity to effectively deliver your pitch.
Ask the Right Questions
Make sure you ask the necessary questions at the beginning of the call so that you don’t waste yours or your customers’ time.
Sound Natural
Even though you are reading, you’ll eventually have the script memorized. Don’t allow yourself to sound like you are reading or sound like you are quickly reciting a memorized line. Slow down your speech. Make necessary pauses. Don’t allow yourself to feel rushed.
Don’t Ask Permission to Make Your Sales Pitch
I like to say something along the line of, “Since you haven’t used our services before, here is how we do things…”
Most Importantly, ALWAYS Give Value Before Price
If you let the customer control the call, you will be tempted to skip the value and go straight to answering the direct question which is usually “How much??!!” When you just give a price and hang up the phone, you have just turned your product or service into an unmemorable commodity.
Assume the Sale and Don’t Ask a Yes or No Question
At this stage, if you did your job well, your customer would tell you whether they want to move forward with you. And they will most likely be inclined to move forward if they are not given an easy opportunity to say no, especially if the value is there.
I hope these tips are helpful. If you go through all the efforts of paying for SEO Services near you or paid or paying an agency to handle your local paid search, you want to make sure your website copy is dialed in and that your call scripts are effective. When all these aspects are lined up, that is when your business will grow! The next step is nurturing your existing customers so that you keep them after all this hard work has been done to acquire them!
